Taj Abraham Ngongba Basketball Camps & Clinics, Inc.

                          Welcome Coaches, Parents & Campers

Tajama Abraham Ngongba Basketball Camps & Clinics, Inc at Radford University begins it 2nd year this June!

If you are ready to sharpen your individual skills, enhance your team play and leadership abilities, and have an unforgettable summer, then bring your game to a camp at Radford University & Radford Recreation Center. The camps are held under the direction of the former WNBA player and Radford University head coach Tajama Abraham Ngongba.

The girl’s basketball camps at RU & Radford Rec Center offer an expertly designed program to improve each camper’s athletic abilities. The camps focus on maintaining a positive attitude on and off the court and specialized individual attention throughout the week will encourage campers to improve weak areas of their game while continuing to develop their overall talents.

COLLEGE PREP CAMP

The College Prep Camp is for seriously committed female basketball players entering grades 9 thru 12. It provides a high-intensity setting with personalized instruction by the Radford University Women’s Basketball staff, and enrollment is limited to maximize individual attention given to each participant. Campers are introduced to college-level routines and practices while competing against experienced, quality players. The camp is divided into guard and post positions so campers can concentrate on the fundamentals of each position. Skills are learned through a “building block” teaching method, enabling campers to improve their recognition level in one-on-one and two-on-two situations.

HIGH SCHOOL & AAU TEAM JAMBOREE

The first-annual Team Camp Jamboree for AAU and high school girls basketball teams will be held June 20-21, 2009 at Radford University. The purpose of this camp is to help improve team skills and prepare a team for a championship season. Our talented coaches and players will ensure a competitive session. The Jamboree’s primary focus is on games, and teams are assigned to leagues based on the ages and grades of participants. Admission to the Jamboree is coordinated by the camper’s AAU or high school coach. Individual campers may not apply. The coordinating coach will be responsible for making all travel and lodging arrangements for the team as well as providing camp administrators with complete, accurate rosters.

FUTURE HIGHLANDERS DAY CAMPS

Day Camps are open to boys and girls who are between 1st and 8th grades, and participants will have fun while learning the fundamentals of basketball. Players will be grouped according to age and ability, and will be taught on an individual and team basis. They will learn fundamental skills and the rules of the game through individual and group instruction, with practices, drills, and games. Our staff is ready to teach the beginning players the basic skills needed to play the game, while challenging even the most advanced of campers.
